Spencer qualified for a wish after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. He loves being outside and riding makes him forget about his illness.
Once his wish was determined, Make-A-Wish worked with Big Sioux PowerSports
to identify the perfect new ATV, a Can-Am Outlander 500 DPS and Signs Plus Graphics
for the custom wrap. Spencer was a part of the design process, but didn’t see the finished product until the night of his wish party last September.
During the wish party and following root beer floats, he picked out safety equipment including a helmet, gloves and goggles. The team at Big Sioux PowerSports
showed him the features of his Can-Am and then he hit the test track for his first ride.
“Spencer smiled more at his wish party than he has in the past year,” said his mom, Teresa. “This was a great experience and made Spencer so happy. The volunteers were so kind and patient.”
Spencer’s favorite parts were when the wish team told him his wish was coming true, designing the wrap, the wish party, and seeing the ATV for the first time.
Spencer’s wish was adopted by J&L Harley-Davidson
and Big Sioux PowerSports of Sioux Falls
