Vienna’s wish trip to Australia this past October is an experience she and her family will always remember, but the best part was simply getting away as a family to enjoy one another.
From touring the Sydney Opera House to viewing the Three Sisters rock formation in the Blue Mountains to seeing the ocean for the first time, Vienna enjoyed every minute!
“The sparkle in her eyes, the excitement in her body language and the smile on her face made all of the stuff we had been through after she suffered three strokes seem like a distant memory,” said her mom, Evie.
Vienna has a hard time deciding what her favorite part of the wish was. Depending when you ask her, it might have been the Sydney Opera House, playing in the ocean at the beach or hiking to see waterfalls and the beautiful scenery in the Blue Mountains.
“The trip was simply fantastic and it had something for everyone in our family,” Evie said.
She said Vienna’s brother, Porter, got to pet a koala and kangaroo at a wildlife park; her little sister, Ember, got to play in the sand and dig some really great holes, her dad, Randall, got to spend time downtown in a big city and Evie’s favorite part was having the chance to hear the Vienna Boys Choir.
“Her dad and I often got emotional during the trip thinking about why we were there, and were simply overcome with thankfulness and gratitude for how she has recovered, and overwhelmed with the beautiful trip that Make-A-Wish planned out and provided for us,” Evie said. “It was truly a trip of a lifetime and one we will never forget.”
