Madison looks like your typical ten-year-old, but in her ten short years she has faced surgery, hospitalization and various medical appointments and procedures. Madison doesn’t let facing a congenital heart defect, the condition that qualified her for a wish, slow her down.
Her wish to go to Hawaii came true the end of November when she and her family left South Dakota for Honolulu, Hawaii. Accompanied by her parents, Dave and Anne, sister Shelby, and brothers Riley and Clayton, Madison was all smiles during her wish trip to the Aloha State.
During her time in Hawaii, Madison enjoyed a luau, a dolphin and sting ray encounter and time at the Wet n’ Wild Hawaii Water Park. The family also enjoyed a couple of free days where they went to a zoo, visited Pearl Harbor, enjoyed time at the beach and saw other sights. Madison said one of the highlights of her trip was swimming with the dolphin and touching the rays.
Madison’s wish was made possible by Adopt-A-Wish Partner Angels With A Dream
from Sioux Falls and an anonymous donor. Special thanks to Make-A-Wish® Hawaii
for their assistance.
