Mason, 9, of Mitchell, loves trains, so his wish to be a train conductor was a perfect fit! His wish came true this past summer in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mason's exciting adventure started by getting to stay at the Choo Choo Hotel in Chattanooga. The unique hotel is a former railroad station and features train car hotel rooms. Mason's mom and grandma were his passengers on his wish full of adventure. He and his family visited the Creative Discovery Museum, Tennessee Aquarium, and they took a train ride on the Hiwassee Loop.
After three fun-filled days of activities, Mason's day to be a train conductor was finally here! His wish day started at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga where he wore his special conductor outfit. Not only did he and his family enjoy the fun train ride, he got to punch the passenger tickets, drive the train, and blow the whistle! They even gave him the honorary title of “Junior Train Conductor”.
Mason's wish was made possible by Toshiba in Mitchell. Special thanks to Make-A-Wish® East Tennessee for their help in granting Mason's wish.
